Consular Corps

Miami-Dade County has a growing reputation as one of the most diverse, multiethnic metropolitan areas in not only the United States, but the world. This emergence as an international city has been fueled by the numerous consulates, bi-national chambers of commerce and foreign trade offices that promote interaction and business investment between our local business community and areas around the world.

Home to the third largest consular corps in the United States, companies and individuals from countries all over the world have a direct connection to Miami-Dade that enables them to feel right at home. The Beacon Council, as well as many other local business organizations, work closely with the consul generals, bi-national chambers of commerce and foreign trade commissioners on incoming and outgoing business development missions, unique programs and special event with the goal of fostering mutually beneficial relationships with business and community leaders from the world’s leading nations.
