Michael Mena was elected on April 25, 2017 in the city’s first runoff election and sworn in as a City Commissioner on April 28, 2017. He will serve for the remaining two-year term in the City Commission Group Five seat.
Commissioner Mena is an attorney and partner at Akerman LLP. He earned his BA at the University of Miami and his JD at Columbia University School of Law.
He is married to Lisa Marie Mena, has two daughters Aria, and Pilar.
