Advisory Board of Trustees (ABT):
The ABT shall focus on external operational issues
rather than internal operational issues, such as emerging trends/issues in a
think tank environment. It will also recommend possible strategic direction(s)
for the Board of Directors based on identifying industry trends that will feed
into the annual business plan. The ABT will provide a forum to engage the
community in attracting and retaining business in our area. In addition,
the ABT shall identify and recruit individuals who have insight and demonstrate
effective leadership qualities in the community.
The ABT shall design, develop and implement
mentoring and development activities to enhance the professional community
involvement of The Beacon Council. The ABT will also assess the factors that
enhance or inhibit the commitment and motivation of members and recommend
activities to improve The Beacon Council’s effectiveness in creating superior
performance from its members including the Board of Directors.
