Businesses Meets New Beacon Council Head

More than 500 business and community leaders attended the 15th Annual Beacon Awards May 11 to honor local businesses and organizations that have strengthened the Miami-Dade economy through innovative business endeavors across industries. The ceremony also featured a Q&A introduction of new president & CEO Michael Finney to the community. Finney discussed how his immediate focus will be listening to local business leaders and partners in order to learn more about the community. The audience gave Finney a round of applause when he said Miami was a 21st century city.
