MIAMI and SAN DIEGO to Host 21st Annual International Real Estate Congress; 50 Foreign Delegates To Attend, New Foreign Buyer Research To Be Released

The MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) and the Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS® (SDAR) will co-present the 21st annual International Real Estate Congress on Nov. 8-11 in Miami and San Diego. About 50 foreign delegates from fifteen different countries along with 400 U.S. and foreign real estate professionals will network, learn, and collaborate in both cities during the globally-acclaimed international real estate events.

This year’s event in Miami will feature about 50 foreign delegates from Spain, France, Ecuador, Brazil, El Salvador, Peru, Costa Rica, and Argentina. The San Diego event will include international delegates from Russia, Dubai, Japan, United Kingdom, Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Bulgaria. Attendees will enjoy nightly gala receptions, listen to special international market briefings on several countries, and participate in marketing sessions to capitalize on the presence of MIAMI’s esteemed partners. MIAMI has official partnerships with more than 130 international organizations worldwide.

Release of Latest Miami International Buyer Survey 
The Congress will kick off on Sunday, Nov. 8 in Miami, and will then be followed by a day and a half of learning and networking. King Kinney will present a Miami Market Update on Monday, Nov. 9. The CEO of MIAMI will reveal initial findings from the latest Miami Profile of International Buyers from a survey conducted for MIAMI by the National Association of REALTORS®.

On the morning of Nov. 10, representatives from Miami’s partner associations in France, Spain, Brazil, and Costa Rica will present international briefings on their markets, highlighting trends and opportunities.

Other distinguished MIAMI Congress keynote speakers are Jonathan Smoke, the chief economist for Realtor.com; Alberto Carvalho, the superintendent for Miami-Dade County Public Schools; Alicia Cervera, managing partner of Cervera Real Estate; Roger A. Bernstein, immigration attorney and co-founder of Bernstein Osberg-Braun; and James Kohnstamm, the economic development vice president for the Beacon Council.

Congress Will Shift to San Diego on Nov. 10-11 
For the first time, the MIAMI International Real Estate Congress will feature speakers and events on the West Coast. This year, MIAMI partnered with the Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS® to bring the event to Southern California. The Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS® will host our International Congress program from Nov. 10-11 at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.

The San Diego portion of the 21st annual MIAMI International Congress will include several dynamic keynote speakers, including Dr. Lawrence Yun, the chief economist for the National Association of REALTORS®, San Diego Congressman Scott Peters, Unified Port of San Diego Vice Chairman Marshall Merrifield, San Diego Airport Authority Chairman of the Board Robert Gleason and Nathan L. Moeder, the principal of the London Group. San Diego will also have a global showcase panel, where experts will discuss opportunities and challenges for investment in their respective countries.

REALTORS® Conference & Expo in San Diego 
Following the conclusion of the MIAMI International Real Estate Congress, most participants will attend the 2015 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in San Diego.

The National Association of REALTORS® annual conference runs from Nov. 13-16 and will bring together more than 20,000 real estate professionals from around the world. The Expo at the San Diego Convention Center will highlight 400 exhibitors, 100 education sessions, and unlimited networking.
