From: MCV RFP Review Conference Call Subject: Living WageQUESTIONWill we be using the Miami-Dade County number used for contracts, for the Living Wage target in the RFP?
From: MCV RFP Review Conference Call Subject: BudgetQUESTIONHow does the training allowance work? Is it part of the $3,000 budget allocated per client?
RESPONSE
The training allowance is not a part of the budget amount noted. Each client will have a separate employer training allowance that will be negotiated with each employer. This training allowance is for job-specific training to be completed by the employer. Service provider partners may be asked to recommend the amount to be allocated to an employer (per client). The allocation will extend for a period of one year after the client has been hired. Reimbursements will be processed quarterly, once the training has been completed and the CV participant is actively employed. The service provider partner will monitor delivery and results over the one-year period.

From: MCV RFP Review Conference Call Subject: Living WageQUESTIONIs the living wage target requirement an average number (averaged out based on wages of all placed clients) or a minimum requirement that applied to all hires?
RESPONSE

Are there any restrictions on where the corporate employers are located and their ability to take advantage of the training job training benefits? Example: Can the corporate employer be located in Broward, providing living wage jobs for Miami-Dade County residents?
RESPONSE
The corporate employers can be located anywhere. The employees who are hired and working must be residents of Miami-Dade County.

QUESTION
From: Urban Strategists [mailto:urbanstrategists@gmail.com] Sent: Friday, August 10, 2018 8:23 AM To: MCVRFP <MCVRFP@beaconcouncil.com> Subject: Wraparound Services Defined
The Collective Empowerment Group of South Florida is responding with its strategic partners to the MCV Pilot RFP. Please clarify for us what specifically Beacon Council means by “wraparound service”? We want to be as specific as possible in our addressing the delivery, type and quantity in our response. As “wraparound services” are a critical component to the success of the pilot, the provided service will define the type of case management, time-on-task and the projected units of service that may be needed. As a matter of reference, CEG uses the term in describing many of the issues we undertake in our various ministries and by example the list below are there others that qualify:
Referal to or provision of the following:
Transportation
Health, dental, and vision care
Mental health services
Behavioral health, nutrition, and wellness
Parent and family targeted services including:
Child- care
Adult education, such as classes on child development, GED, English as a second language
Apprenticeships, Job placement and retention assistance
Social work and family crisis response
Drug Prevention, Counselng
Financial literacy
Service referrals and assistance

Thank you for your interest. Wrap around services may include all of the services noted in your question. Success Coaching (may also be described as “case management”) designates an individual on the service provider’s team who manages the on-going support needs of the client once hired; aimed at ensuring sustainable employment success. Wrap-around services may also include recommendations on the type and amount of job-specific training to be provided by the employer.

Subject: To Whom it may concern
Good Afternoon, We are a vendor of The Children’s Trust and I was sent the information concerning a RFP for The Miami Community Ventures (MVC) Structuarlly Unemployed bid
We can not provide this service ourselves but I have a question and a solution. We have an online solution for obtaining a GED. I did not see any education solution in this bid and was wondering if this is something of value. Many low income individuals do not have a HS diploma and this would be a solution to helping them secure long term viable employment.
Any interest in adding that to this project?

Hello,
I have two questions for the MCV RFP. Can you please let me know:
I see that grantees are paid $3,000 per client. What is the maximum budget payout? What is the maximum number of people we can serve?
With this grant, can we serve Opa-locka and Liberty City only? Or is it preferable to serve more than these areas?
Thank you so much!

Thank you for your interest. In response to your questions –
· The maximum budget amount would be the $3000 x 77 which is the maximum number of clients for the pilot.
· The target areas for this pilot RFP are Liberty City, Overtown, and Goulds. Assuming the pilot program is a success, the program will then be available to communities throughout Miami-Dade County.

Subject: Question re RFP
Good afternoon, Sheri. Are you only accepting applications from lead agencies offering all of the wrap around services themselves or offering them in concert with formal partners? If an organization has one aspect of the wrap-around service that they could offer, can they apply or must they already be part of a fully–formed collaborative and written into that application to apply.
Best regards,
Mary

During the call, it was mentioned that a list of potential partner agencies would be included on the website. I am writing to let you know that Legal Services of Greater Miami would like to be included on the website as a potential sub grantee for the Miami Community Ventures proposal.
Given the work that we do, our organization could be an asset for a partner that needs assistance in removing legal barriers to employment for its clients.
Please let me know if any additional information is required. Have a great weekend.
