One of A Kind Floating Space Comes to Miami
Built From a Recycled Shipping Container, Blue Space Brings a New Waterfront Wellness Experience to Brickell
(Miami, FL– August 17, 2020) – Blue Space provides a waterfront wellness experience that promises to transport city dwellers from the daily grind to a clearer, calmer mind—a “Blue Mind.” A floating space with three glass walls, guests can feel like they are one with the water.
Founders JP Aramouni and Alex Ciklik, both ex-Uber operators, selected Miami as the launch pad for Blue Space due to its residents’ proven commitment to health and wellness. This year, Business Insider rated Miami the “healthiest city in the US.” With Blue Space, residents and wellness entrepreneurs can now take their healthy lifestyle to the next level.
“Blue Space not only provides an alternative safe space to disconnect but also empowers local wellness entrepreneurs to provide an elevated mindful experience for their clients,” said JP Aramouni, co-founder of Blue Space. “We’ve already seen an uptake from a group of entrepreneurs using Blue Space as a platform to build their brands in an affordable and flexible way.”
The fully-equipped 360sqft space, built from a recycled shipping container, was inspired by research conducted by marine biologist Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, author of Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do. With mental health as a critical concern and over 80% of Americans reporting managing stress on a daily basis, Blue Space hopes to be part of the solution by pairing water with wellness.
The “Mindful Movement,” which includes yoga, meditation, journaling, breath work and other wellness activities, has morphed into a 52-billion-dollar industry in the United States and is expected to grow by 12% by 2023. Blue Space envisions becoming a conduit for the mindful movement as it continues to grow and expand by finding sustainable solutions that connect people to nature.
“Blue Space embodies the best of Miami – creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, community, and a commitment to resiliency and wellness – all anchored in a waterfront setting that really sets it apart,” said Michael A. Finney, President & CEO, Miami-Dade Beacon Council. “Their unique model offers individuals and companies the opportunity to bring some of what make this city special into their next event, whether that’s a business meeting, a wellness class or an intimate dinner.”
Blue Space is bookable by the hour and is currently live at Vice City Marina in Brickell, with plans to expand to other major U.S. cities soon. To book Blue Space, please visit the website.
