Making It Happen. Fast.

Miami-Dade County’s start-up ecosystem is increasingly attractive to entrepreneurs and innovators, both locally and from around the world. Much of the rapid growth is a result of the convergence of Miami’s tech and creative communities, as well as access to Latin American markets.

In recent years, many incubators, accelerators and co-working spaces have launched, offering access to resources such as mentors, office space, seed funding, networking opportunities and basic business services.

Supporting Innovation

  • Refresh Miami, a non-profit organization dedicated to organizing Miami tech networking events meant to connect Miami’s tech scene and startup community.
  • Venture Café Miami helps innovators by enhancing and accelerating the growth of innovation in Miami through high-impact programming and events and by creating intentional spaces for entrepreneurial individuals and organizations to gather, connect and build relationships.
  • Endeavor Miami, the first U.S. affiliate of Endeavor Global, is dedicated to building communities of high-impact entrepreneurs and innovators. In 2015, more than 1,300 Endeavor Entrepreneurs throughout the world created 587,000 high-value jobs.
  • The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation is a national foundation with strong local roots that supports technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and social investment programs. It also aids innovative ventures in digital media and technology and reinvests in the most promising projects that emerge from early-stage grants.
