Director, Research & Strategic Planning
Work Experience
As Director of Research and Strategic Planning, Ines Mato leverages data with the purpose of attracting new businesses to Miami-Dade County and supporting existing ones. Ines also leads comparative analysis focused on economic indicators across U.S. metros.
Prior to joining the Beacon Council, Mato was a Senior Management Consultant for Resilience at Miami Beach, where she led data-driven projects and helped develop the City’s Strategic Plan. Previously, Mato worked for City of Miami as a Strategic Planning and Performance Analyst. In that role, she worked on updating the city’s plan, measuring performance and developing trainings.
Volunteer activity
Ines serves as an advisor to International Resilience Labs, a company dedicated to advancing resiliency. In the past, she served as the Vice-President and Programming Director of the Hispanic Public Relations Association. She also participated from the mentorship program led by Big Brothers, Big Sisters, where she mentored disadvantaged students in Miami.
Education
Ines, a received a master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from University of Florida. She is trained in data analytics, facilitation and process improvement techniques.
