With over 15 years of experience in business development and economic growth, Nidia brings proven expertise in attracting investment, fostering public-private partnerships, and implementing transformative business solutions.
Prior to joining the Beacon Council, Nidia founded and managed her consulting firm Bridgewave Advisors supporting governments in their digital transformation roadmap and held executive positions at Visa Inc., where she led regional divisions that delivered significant revenue growth and established strategic partnerships across Latin America and the Caribbean. Her experience includes spearheading investment retention strategies that secured over 4,000 jobs and managing expansion processes for more than 200 companies. She has also built strong relationships with multilateral organizations including the World Bank and IADB, supporting economic development initiatives throughout the region.
Nidia holds an LLM in International Law, Foreign Trade & International Relations from Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE) in Madrid, Spain, and is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
