Colby Evans is a Business Development Fellow at the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, where he supports initiatives that strengthen Miami-Dade’s business ecosystem. In this role, he contributes to efforts focused on attracting new companies, supporting local business expansion, and positioning Miami-Dade County as a premier destination for investment and innovation.
Colby is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Miami, double majoring in Finance and Artificial Intelligence, with an expected graduation date of Dezembro 2028. He has been recognized on the President’s Honor Roll for academic achievement.
Prior to joining the Beacon Council, Colby gained leadership experience in the hospitality industry, where he managed front-of-house operations and led teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. He is also an analyst with the University of Miami’s Century Fund, where he conducts equity research and evaluates investment opportunities, strengthening his interest in financial markets. He has additionally participated in Goldman Sachs’ Virtual Insight Series and Possibilities Series, further developing his exposure to global financial services and investment banking.
His experience across hospitality management, financial research, and professional development programs has shaped a strong interest in relationship-driven business development, data-driven decision-making, and the role of emerging technologies in shaping economic outcomes. Colby is particularly interested in how artificial intelligence can be leveraged to enhance business strategy and support long-term economic development.
