Annual Presentation of “Keys to the County” by Mayor Carlos Gimenez, Presented by TD Bank

(Miami, FL – March 8, 2016) -The Beacon Council will honor 53 companies establishing or expanding operations in Miami-Dade County at the 2016 Key Ceremony on March 9 at the Conrad Hotel, presented by TD Bank.
The companies, representing a variety of industries including aviation, information technology, trade & logistics, entertainment, manufacturing and healthcare, will be honored with a Key to the County by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez. County Commissioners, City Officials and other dignitaries are also slated to participate in the ceremony.
“The companies that we’re honoring with a Key to the County are important to our economic diversification,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez. “These 53 companies are a testament to our world-class community’s vibrant economic climate — a climate which allows businesses of all types to grow, expand and succeed. I’m grateful that these companies are choosing to do business in Miami-Dade, and I commend The Beacon Council for its continued success in attracting jobs and investment to the County.”
“The Key Ceremony provides an opportunity to salute the companies that are adding jobs and investment in our community,” The Beacon Council President & CEO Larry K. Williams said. “Collectively, they will contribute more than $424 million in new capital investment and create 2,351 jobs in Miami-Dade County.”
CBS4 Reporter Vanessa Borge is returning for the third year as emcee of the event. A reception follows the ceremony.
