Six industry winners, along with the One2Watch and the Small Business awards, to be announced live on Oct. 22
MIAMI, FL (September 16, 2025) – The Beacon Foundation together with the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, the County’s official public-private economic development partnership, are proud to announce the 2025 Beacon Award finalists who represent the best-of-the-best in each category: six (6) Sector Awards, as well as the newly introduced One2Watch Award and Small Business awards. Finalists were selected by the 2025 Beacon Awards and Host Committed for their bold vision, transformative projects, and the measurable and lasting change they are driving across Greater Miami. The winner in each category will be announced live during the Beacon Awards ceremony hosted on Oct. 22, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts.
In addition to the competitive award categories, the Beacon Foundation will also recognize three special honorees: Alex Villoch, CEO of the Baptist Health Foundation, with the inaugural Founders’ Award; the Mas family, longstanding business and community leaders, with the 2025 Jay Malina Leadership Award; and Dr. Eduardo Padrón, President Emeritus of Miami Dade College, with the postponed 2020 Jay Malina Leadership Award. The visionary leaders were announced earlier this summer and will be present at the signature awards event.

This year marks the 18th year for the Beacon Awards program and 40 years since the Miami-Dade Beacon Council’s founding. Together these milestones represent decades of work supporting economic growth and celebrating leadership across greater Miami.
