Miami-Dade’s business community was well-represented in Tallahassee during the 2018 Annual Tallahassee Fly-In led by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC).Miami-Dade Beacon Council Executive Vice President, Dyan Brasington, joined Chamber leaders and other economic development professionals as well as other business and community leaders to advocate for issues impacting the business community in Tallahassee.
The change in educational needs by employers is a national topic and one that is crucial for our community. From our conversations with business leaders in many of the industries in Miami-Dade County and from studies, it is clear that companies expect future employees to have post-secondary training, which includes certificates.

The Beacon Council Economic Development Foundation is pleased to announce the release of the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of the Talent Bridge Miami Portal. This regional platform will strengthen employer engagement, improve resident access to high-quality training opportunities, and align educational and community partners around measurable workforce outcomes. Qualified firms with expertise in data-intensive, AI-enabled platforms are encouraged to apply.
This initiative is a central component of Miami-Dade County’s talent and competitiveness strategy and represents an important investment in the region’s long-term workforce infrastructure.
