The 16th Annual Beacon Awards on April 28th will be a celebration of Miami-Dade’s growing economy and the community’s successful economic development strategic plan, One Community One Goal (OCOG).

The Urban Initiatives Task Force focuses on inclusive prosperity building and attracting new business investment to targeted urban Miami-Dade communities with economic development and new job creation opportunities. At a recent meeting, this year’s Task Force Chair Teri Williams, President and COO of One United Bank, heard updates from various Task Force members on projects that are including the urban area of the county.
